Gerber Lil’ Beanies for the Carline Win!

Guys. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I honestly thought once all the kids started school I’d have time to get things done, the house would be spotless, I’d finally be able to keep all those crumbs out of the van (yeah right)… It’s been quite the opposite. I spend over half my day dropping off and picking up. The dropping off part has been pretty smooth, but the picking up? Painful. Today I picked up Roman and Dylan at 2 and headed straight to Walmart for snacks to keep them happy while we waited to get Enzo at 3. We’ve tried Gerber Lil’ Beanies before – easy containers, plenty to share (double yeah right), and the kids LOVE them.

gerber-sponsored-2-1They were a little excited to be snack shopping! Roman loaded the cart, but I made him narrow it down to two: Gerber Lil’ Beanies Original and Geber Lil’ Beanies White Cheddar & Broccoli.

gerber-sponsored-2-6Open it Momma!

gerber-sponsored-2-4And to think I thought I’d have to stage pictures to show you all how much they love these things! Added bonus, they’re made from navy beans, so they have 2 grams of protein, 1 gram of fiber, and 10% daily value of Vitamin E in every serving! And they’re baked, not made with any genetically engineered ingredients! Its a win-win-win!

We made it through Walmart with no problems, and once we were back in the car they each had their own can of snacks to enjoy!

gerber-sponsored-2-3It sure made for a happier (and quieter) wait in the carline! I was hoping they’d save some for their big brother, but 15 minutes proved to be just enough time for these two to demolish both cans. Oops, sorry Enzo. I guess next time we’ll have to buy 4 cans, and have a discussion about portion control!

If you’re interested in trying Lil’ Beanies with your kiddos, they’re easy to find in the baby snack aisle at Walmart! And if you act fast, you can click here to get 50 cents cash back on the ibotta app! (While supplies last!)

Stitch Fix #16: Fall is here!

*This post contains affiliate and referral links, and I will be compensated (at no extra cost to you) if you make a purchase or sign up for a box after clicking them. Thank you for supporting Pop Goes Perfection!*

We finally felt a little break in the hot weather here in Oklahoma, and its got me fully ready to embrace all things fall… including the clothes! I was so excited to see fall-ready items in this month’s fix!

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a clothing subscription box for women (men’s version coming soon!). You can sign up here,  fill out a style profile, link your style pinterest board, and your personal stylist will choose five clothing and accessory items to send to you based on your preferences. You will be charged a $20 styling fee when you’re box ships, but it’s applied to anything you decide to keep. You can choose how often you receive a fix; I get mine monthly.

In this month’s box…

Let’s start with the things that are for sure going back. First, the Ellis Elephant Print Infinity Scarf by Octavia ($28). I loved the colors, but didn’t like anything else about this one. Elephants aren’t really my thing I guess.

This Honey Punch Layla Elbow Patch Detail Cardigan ($48) seems to be pretty popular on the Stitch Fix group boards, but I’m just not a fan. It’s very comfortable, but I felt like it made me look like a box.

stitch-fix-16-2

And the last definite no, these Ink Love & Peace Sophia Wide Leg Pants ($68). These are super comfortable and I’d probably wear them all the time, but I just can’t justify nearly $70 on lounge pants.

stitch-fix-16-5

The ole budget is only going to allow me to keep one thing out of this box, so I need to decide between these last two tops. First, the Brixon Ivy Fierro Elbow Patch Crew Neck Sweater ($58). It’s comfortable, has cute lace patches on the elbows, and would go with just about any kind of pants… including my Kut from the Kloth Chrissy flare jeans I’m wearing in almost every pic in this post.

Or, the Market & Spruce Barty Henley Tunic ($58). This one is also super comfortable, but a little dressier. My hair is covering them in the pic, but it has little gold buttons down the front. I love the length and the cut and, of course, the color.

Which do you think I should keep? Please don’t say both or I’ll tell Micah it’s all your fault that I HAD to blow the budget.

If you think you’re finally ready to give Stitch Fix a try, I would love for you to use my referral link! (It helps feed my family… and also my subscription box addiction, so we all thank you!)

the Batter UP! box: Coach Pitch edition

We have turned a corner in the Stewart house. The kids have all hit ages where they do fun ‘big kid’ stuff and not hard, pack-my-life-in-a-bag to leave the house ‘baby’ stuff. All 3 boys are playing baseball, and Zander has moved up to Coach Pitch! He loves it, and we’re so excited to watch him play this season. Momma is on a steep baseball learning curve, but I’m confident these boys will keep me up to speed!

A good friend of mine recently told me about Batter UP! box… a baseball themed subscription box with a Coach Pitch option! I couldn’t wait to contact them and find out more!

What is the Batter UP! box?

Batterup - 10

Batter UP! box is a monthly subscription box full of baseball or softball themed training tools and accessories. The boxes are catered to your child’s age and skill level. You can choose from Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Kid Pitch, Softball, Softball Elite, and Senior League. A month to month subscription is $29.99 per month with free shipping. You can save even more by pre-paying for 3-month or 6-month subscriptions.

What’s in the box?

Obviously, we chose the Coach Pitch option for Zander. First thing in his box was this note card with the Batter UP! Box Tip of the Month. It includes a batting drill and stance reminders.

Batterup - 4

Next, A TeenyMates MLB action figure. Zander has a couple of these already, so he was very excited to get a new one to add to his collection! I checked on Amazon and you can buy a 4 pack of this particular series of TeenyMates for about $10, making the retail value of this around $2.50.

Batterup - 8

And then the eye black. I tried to hold him off until he was actually playing baseball, but this little turkey snuck off to the bathroom and was looking game-ready headed to bed! Not mom’s favorite thing, but I had one happy boy… who returned to school the next morning looking like he’d been in a fight with Rocky Balboa. Retail value, according to Amazon, around $6. That cheesy grin, priceless.

Batterup - 5

I must admit, I had no idea what this thing was when he pulled it out of the box. After a quick explanation from Daddy, Zander had it slid onto his bat and was all over those batting drills included on the tip card. For those that also don’t know, it’s a bat weight valued around $10 on amazon.

Batterup - 2

I’m sure you can tell by his face that he was more than a little thrilled to see these Fathead Tradeables. He pestered me for a good two hours before I caved and let him stick them all over his bedroom wall. I’m certain he’ll be asking Santa for more! This pack included 5 – 5″x7″ peel and stick vinyl decals. The same one is for sale on amazon for $9.

Batterup - 3

Batterup - 7

And no baseball theme box would be complete without some Big League Chew! He had to fight off his brothers and sisters (and Daddy) to keep this for himself! These retail for $2-3/each depending on the quantity you purchase on Amazon.

Batterup - 6

If you’re keeping track, the retail value of the items in this box was around $30, which is exactly what this box costs (or less if you pre-pay for an extended subscription). And, not only is the box reasonably priced, there’s so much added value. For one, it’s packed full of items hand selected for a Coach Pitch baseball player like Zander. He loved everything, and I never would’ve been able to pick all of this stuff without help. Also, I’m not able to put a value on the tip card or the excellent customer service we’ve received working the Batter UP! box.

Go ahead and add this one to the list of perfect Christmas or birthday gifts for the baseball-lovin’ boy or girl in your life! I hope you’ll give it a try and come back and let me know how much they love it! Click here to head over to their website and get yours ordered today. Use code SWING5 to get $5 off your first box!

Special thanks to everyone at Batter UP! box for working with Pop Goes Perfection and providing us with a Coach Pitch box for Zander to try!
